On Friday, March 22, 2024, Grace Oluchi Mbah, the co-founder and executive director at Climate Action Africa, announced the launch of the Climate Action Africa Forum 2024 (CAAF24). With a profound sense of purpose and a deep acknowledgment of the pressing challenges posed by climate change, the Forum aims to galvanize collective action towards safeguarding Africa’s future.
“Africa stands disproportionately affected by the impacts of climate change, with rising temperatures, erratic weather patterns, and socio-economic ramifications already being felt across the continent. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, CAAF24 is not merely a conference but a clarion call to action, slated to take place from June 17th to 19th, 2024.” She said.
At the heart of CAAF24 lies a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and solutions. Through the introduction of initiatives such as the ‘Deal Room’ and a ‘National Call for Innovations,’ the Forum seeks to harness technology-driven solutions in crucial sectors such as emissions reduction, transportation, agriculture, energy, circularity, and building and construction. Moreover, CAAF24 aims to attract global investment to support these innovative solutions that can turn the tide in favor of sustainability.

The Forum boasts a rich program lineup, focusing on enabling attendees to acquire knowledge, skills, and strategies to contribute to the growth of the circular economy and unlock finance for investments in adaptation, mitigation, and resilience.
