LIDA Network proudly presents “ENERGIZ”, a Just Energy Transition Project that seeks to create green jobs across Africa, with a strong focus on women.
This program seeks to train and facilitate the employment of interested participants between the ages of 18 – 45 who would like to work within the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector. With the 2030 agenda to triple renewables and double down on efficiency.
LIDA Network would be working with renewable energy players across Africa to facilitate the job placement of participants across Solar PV Installation & Design, Due Diligence Training, Project Management & Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation, Clean Cook Stoves, Sales & Marketing, Solar Stand Alone and Solar Equipment and Electrical Manufacturing.
Africa currently has over 600 million people without access to electricity and globally, over 2.3 billion people do not have access to clean cooking options. This is an indication of an urgent need to strengthen the continents capacity to build systems and structures that will bridge the energy access gap.
